As global trade dynamics continue to evolve (literally hour-by-hour), understanding the ripple effects of tariffs on pricing, supply chains, and sourcing strategies is more critical than ever. UC Systemwide Procurement (SWP) hosted a series of tariff education sessions as part of our Procurement Exchange webinar series in which we explore what these tariffs mean for finance and procurement professionals, and more importantly, what UC can do to prepare, adapt, and respond proactively.
Tariffs Webinar Series
The first webinar in the tariff series, “2025 Global Tariffs – Pricing Impact & Mitigation Strategies," was a resounding success, with hundreds of participants and a lively discussion. The second in the series, “UC Navigates Tariff Tides with Customs Broker ACS,” was a joint presentation with UC’s supplier partner, American Cargoservice, and explored how tariffs and customs rules impact research imports, and how to avoid costs and delays and prepare proper documentation for duty exemptions. The third webinar in the series, "Tariffs, Trade & What's Next," went further into nuanced trade agreements and vendor relationships, and featured an informative Q&A discussion with various UC officials. Watch all three webinar recordings and download the slide decks for unique insider views into the dynamics of world trade in this particularly volatile time.
