UC Systemwide Procurement is excited to announce that Adam Druck will be rejoining our team as the new Senior Category Manager, Professional Services – Employee Benefits, effective January 6, 2025.
In this pivotal role, Adam will lead all aspects of the strategic sourcing process within the Employee Benefits portfolio, which includes over $3B in annual spend. His work will focus on systemwide initiatives for health and welfare benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending accounts, and more. Adam will collaborate closely with Employee Benefits leadership and stakeholders across the UC system to implement sourcing strategies that ensure UC continues to deliver exceptional benefits to its employees, students, and retirees.
With extensive experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain leadership, Adam brings a wealth of knowledge from previous roles. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of Global Supply Chain and Procurement at Jacuzzi Group Worldwide, where he led a global team and successfully delivered $8 million in cost savings. Before that, Adam served as a Senior Commodity Manager in Professional Services for Systemwide Procurement at UC Office of the President, so this job is a homecoming of sorts.
Previously, Adam held senior procurement positions at Alorica, RSI Holding, Ingram Micro, and Pulte Group, consistently driving efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements in large-scale organizations.
Adam is passionate about both his professional and personal life. He has been happily married for 16 years to his college sweetheart, whom he met at UC San Diego. Together, they have two boys, ages 10 and 14. His eldest is a dedicated travel lacrosse player, while his youngest dreams of becoming an actor/comedian/film director and performs with a local production company. Family is everything to Adam, and he has spent the last 10 years coaching his boys in various sports.
When he's not focused on family or work, Adam enjoys a range of outdoor activities, including downhill mountain biking, backcountry hiking, camping, snowboarding, skateboarding, and DIY home construction projects. An ardent NFL fan, he bleeds silver and black as a Raiders supporter and is always up for a good football chat!
Please join us in welcoming Adam back to the team! Feel free to reach out to Adam as he transitions into his new role.
