Ashley Allred named Director, Procurement Innovation & Continuous Improvement

UC Systemwide Procurement (SWP) is eager to welcome Ashley Allred, who will join SWP in the newly created role of Director of Procurement Innovation & Continuous Improvement as of October 21, 2024. In this role, Ashley will lead the charge in delivering creative, transformative procurement strategies and initiatives across SWP and all UC campuses.

With over 20 years of leadership experience in sourcing and supply chain roles for iconic brands such as Levi's, Clif Bar, Burt's Bees, Brita, Glad, and Kingsford Charcoal, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise. Most recently, she served as Director of Global Strategic Sourcing at Clorox Company, where she was responsible for overseeing the company’s entire spend, overseeing all sourcing activities for Corp Indirect, Enterprise Data and Technology, Innovation Sourcing/Intellectual Property, and Sourcing Digital Excellence/Process & Capabilities. She also guided transformational programs and enterprise-wide procurement transformation programs, managed the Innovation Sourcing team, and drove process improvement across teams.

Ashley is recognized for her ability to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and build resilient supply chains. Her leadership has consistently delivered measurable results and contributed to organizational growth in dynamic environments.

A proud UC Berkeley alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Ashley has continued to develop her expertise through leadership and supply chain management certifications from Georgia Tech.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys scuba diving, hiking, golf, and quality time with her husband and daughter, who is currently a student at CU Boulder. She’s also actively involved in her community, delivering Meals on Wheels each week and participating in book, wine, and supper clubs.
