On February 26 & 27, 2024, MillerKnoll sponsored a two-day Education Event at the Knoll Showroom in DTLA and the Herman Miller Showroom in Culver City for University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) professionals. This innovative event offered a unique blend of interaction, collaboration, and enrichment tailored for those who shape our campus environments.

From designers to construction experts, and hospitality to real estate professionals, attendees had the rare opportunity to connect with peers, dive into deep discussions about the future of campus design, and explore products that blend form with function, all designed to elevate the educational landscape.

Highlights included insightful talks from leaders at UC Systemwide Procurement (SWP) and OMNIA Partners on topics like "Executive Buy-In for Project Success" and "Using Systemwide Contracts." These discussions weren't just about procurement processes; they were about envisioning and executing projects that resonate with the needs of a modern campus.

But it wasn't all talk. The event was rich with interactive learning stations, like "Textile Torture," "Creating a Destination," and "Products for Power" offering a tangible sense of how MillerKnoll's designs and products can transform spaces into vibrant, functional, and inspiring environments.

The docent-led tour of LA's iconic Union Station built to serve as the gateway to Los Angeles was a highlight and added an historical perspective to the event, reminding attendees of the lasting impact of thoughtful design on public spaces.

Whether it was exploring 20,000 square feet of innovative products or engaging in interactive learning, every moment of the event was designed to inspire and inform. For those who shape the future of our educational institution spaces, MillerKnoll's UC & CSU Education Event was more than just a gathering—it was a journey into the future of campus design and a testament to the power of collaborative spaces innovation.
