Adam Mounts, a Business Systems Analyst for UC San Diego Procurement, completed an Amazon consolidation effort over the last several months. He worked with Amazon Business to develop outreach to rogue Amazon Business and Amazon.com users to bring them into the program.
Consolidation into the program helps them take advantage of the many benefits of the UC San Diego/Amazon Business relationship like free prime shipping, membership, and locked-in pricing. It also benefits UCSD overall by consolidating spend with a contracted supplier to maximize incentives and grow the Last Mile delivery program.
Adam and team were successful in bringing an estimated $700,000 per year of rogue spend into the program by converting most of the major accounts throughout campus.
