UC Systemwide Procurement has executed an Amendment as of November 17, 2025, to a UC-wide agreement with CampusGuard to strengthen UC's payment card security posture through comprehensive Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) training and compliance services. This amendment provides UC-wide access to CampusGuard’s expert-led PCI DSS education, delivered through UC’s learning management system, along with specialized Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) services, advisory support, audit assistance, and vulnerability scanning tailored to UC’s compliance requirements.

These services support consistent PCI compliance across campuses and affiliates, reduce institutional risk, streamline annual certification efforts, and promote continuous alignment with evolving PCI standards. The amendment also leverages fixed pricing and UC-aligned contractual terms.

The CampusGuard Agreement is available UC-wide to 10 campuses, 6 health centers, and the Lawrence Berkeley and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories.

Amendment Benefits and Details

This amendment provides all UC locations with access to CampusGuard’s PCI DSS expertise through a single, trusted provider. Services include: Qualified Security Assessor support, compliance advisory, and Approved Scanning Vendor services, helping locations consistently meet and maintain PCI requirements across the system.

Consistent, Scalable PCI DSS Training
Campuses receive access to standardized PCI DSS training content hosted on UC’s learning management system under an unlimited site license to ensure consistent training across locations for staff involved in payment card processing.

Reduced Compliance Risk and Audit Burden
CampusGuard supports annual PCI certification through structured preparation, audits, remediation tracking, and continuous compliance monitoring via a dedicated PCI portal to reduce institutional risk and minimize duplicative audits at the campus level.

Best Value Pricing with Cost Predictability
The agreement provides fixed pricing for the initial term, with renewal increases capped at no more than three percent to provide cost certainty and budget predictability.

Flexible, Campus-specific Engagement
Although the agreement is UC wide, each participating location executes a location-specific Statement of Work, allowing campuses to tailor scope, staffing, timelines, and responsibilities to individual PCI environments and operational needs.

Policy Aligned Terms and Legal Review
All contract terms are aligned with UC policies and legal requirements, with modifications reviewed and approved by UC Procurement legal counsel to reduce contracting risk.

Expanded Choice without New Solicitations
This amendment is attached to an existing competitively awarded systemwide agreement to save campuses time and effort and accelerate access to critical compliance services.
